Erkende huwelijken op Aruba vinden uitsluitend plaats in het historische gemeentehuis van Oranjestad. Daarnaast kunt U ook voor een romantische inzegening op een van de schitterende stranden van Aruba kiezen.

Aruba civil wedding requirements: Attention: There is still a lot of old information on the web and wrong information on Aruba forums concerning documents and opening times. Our website is updated frequently.

Couple must submit a Certificate of no impediment for bride and groom (also referred to as a single status report) This certificate of no impediment could be obtained at the bureau of vital statistics which is located in the department of health. Also needed an apostille form. (state certification). Click here for a few examples of the US single status report.
For couples who are not been married before, an alternative for the certificate of no impediment is a notarized statement (no apostille needed) Click here for an example of a notarized statement.

Copies of birth certificate for bride and groom with the names of your parents and including an apostille form. (state certification). This form with apostille-seal could be obtained at the office of State (Secretary of State). Click here for a few examples of the US apostille form.

If either party has been divorced we need to receive a copy of the 1st and last page of the divorce decree(s). Also needed an apostille form. (state certification).

If either party is a widow(er) we need to receive a copy of the pertaining death certificate.

Valid passports for the couple and their witnesses. Copy of the photo and detail pages need to be submitted. (If couple does not have any witnesses, we will provide them).

2 Intention to marry forms (ask us)

All documents are to be faxed or e-mailed for review and then submitted by courier (i.e. FedEx) at least one (1) month prior to the desired wedding date.

Canadian citizens need a legalization of their birth certificates, single status reports and divorce decrees by the consul of the Netherlands in Canada.

Civil weddings are possible from Monday till Friday (10am-11:30am & 2pm-3:30pm) Closed on Wednesday afternoon.

De procedure voor de huwelijksaangifte is relatief eenvoudig.

Uiterlijk 4 weken voor het voorgenomen huwelijk op Aruba willen wij graag alle documenten of copiën daarvan in ons bezit hebben. Dit kan vooraf via de fax, of als gescand document naar ons verzonden worden.
Zodra deze in orde zijn bevonden stellen wij u daarvan in kennis, vervolgens maken we met u een afspraak hoe en wanneer de originele documenten naar Aruba komen, en is in principe het papierwerk klaar.
U hoeft niet een minimum aantal dagen op Aruba te zijn voordat u kunt trouwen.

Documenten voor de schriftelijke aangifte en huwelijk:

Formulier voor de schriftelijke ondertrouw (vraag ons)
Een uitvoerig uittreksel of afschrift van de geboorte-akte van de aanstaanden
Indien het vorige huwelijk(en) is ontbonden: uittreksels uit het echtscheidings - of overlijdensregister van de vorige(n) echtgenoot.
Verklaring van burgerlijke staat van beiden (uittreksel uit de basis administratie) Voor Belgie uittreksel uit het bevolkingsregister of getuigschrift van woonst..
Kopie paspoorten.
Kopie paspoorten van minimaal twee getuigen. (DWA kan voor getuigen zorgen als jullie die niet hebben)

Documents for couples from Sweden

• Personuppgifter om brudparet, adress, telefon (hem och arbete), yrken samt önskat bröllopsdatum och tid.
• Kopia på pass.
• Personbevis med bägge föräldrarnas namn.
• Om aktuellt: slutliga skilsmässohandlingar, dödsintyg av tidigare maka/make, adoptionshandlingar eller intyg om eventuella namnändringar.
• Äktenskapscertifikat.

Dokument som personbevis och äktenskapscertifikat beställs från Skatteverket. Dokumenten kan beställas på engelska. Äktheten och översättningen måste legaliseras genom en Apostille-stämpel av en Notarius Publicus eller Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs. En förteckning över Notarius Publicus kan ni hitta hos Länsstyrelsen i ert län.

Vi behöver dessa minst ca. 30 dagar innan vigseln. Nu kan ni bara se framemot ert romantiska bröllop i det tropiska Aruba!

Efter hemkomsten till Sverige ska vigseln registreras hos Skatteverket för att bli giltig i Sverige. Ni kan antingen gå till närmaste Skattekontor och visa upp vigselintyget från Aruba i original, eller ta en kopia som vidimeras av två personer och skickas till Skatteverkets Folkbokföringskontor i Stockholm.
